Bittersweet

Hello darlings!
How are we all today? I'm pretty good if you're asking which you're probably not.

Today was my last day of Work Experience which is I guess a bittersweet kind of thing. Bitter because I have to leave all the lovely kids and sweet because I've gained so much from the experience. Seriously, I would happily just work there for another week or forever. It's such a lovely job, I think it really is an underrated job. Most people think that working with young children is all fun and games but what do you do when the kids aren't happy and don't want to get a long? You have to keep using different strategies to get them to listen to you without ever losing your patience and using a clear, firm tone and you have to explain to them properly in words they understand. I spent at least 20 minutes trying to convince a boy to wheel his bike to the shed because it was pack-up time. I tried absolutely everything; I asked him if he wanted to go home and he said no, I asked him if he wanted to see his mummy and daddy and to do that he had to put away his bike and he said no, he kept repeating "I want to ride it." Finally, another kid said "Do you want to come to my house?" and he actually said "Yes" and put his bike away. So, I think that little boy could be a potential kindergarten teacher.

I had such a fantastic day today, there are so many memories that I'll always remember until when I'm 80. There was a boy today who sang the Hi-5 theme song with me and every time the word 'Hi-5' came on, he would Hi-5 me. He then proceeded to sing "Ready or Not" with me as we were completing a 123 piece puzzle. There was a little boy who learnt how to swing on the swing himself and he didn't even know it. I was actually only pretending to push him because if he went any higher, he would hurt himself. There was another little boy whose patience levels increased throughout the week. When I met him on Tuesday, he would fight over the toys and wouldn't share, when I was playing with him today, he was waiting for his turn oh so patiently and it almost made me cry happy tears. So in summary: I love kids. They're all so clever and they don't even know it. I mean, these kids were doing 123 piece puzzles, I could not manage that shit when I was four.

I just finished all their thank you/I'll always remember letters to each kid and I'm going to mail it to them because there was this boy who checks the mail box every day and I think he'll enjoy mail actually getting addressed to him. :)

Welp, it's Doomsday tomorrow. Ughh. Haven't even touched my piano exam songs and I'm only halfway through the script of my Vietnamese oral tomorrow. Oh well.

Good bye deary pies! Love you! :D

KINDER KINDER

Allo lovely lovely readers!
So, as you know, this week I am doing Work Experience at a Kinder. IT IS SO FANTASTICALLY REWARDING AND WONDERFUL AND I THINK IT MIGHT BE WHAT I END UP DOING IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE IT'S JUST SUCH A LOVELY ATMOSPHERE AND I JUST LOVE EVERY KID THERE AND I HAVE SUCH A STRONG ATTACHMENT TO THE KIDS AND I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE AND I'D HAPPILY WORK THERE FOR THE NEXT YEAR OR SO. Yeah, so in other words: I'm enjoying my Work Experience Placement very very very much.

I know I was supposed to blog about all this on Tuesday which was my first day of Kinder but MOTHER was watching her Asian dramas as per usual and Tim was using the laptop to study for his exams and as I keep mentioning, FATHER hogs the iPad. In summary, I just like typing on a keyboard more than a phone. If I had blogged on Tuesday I probably would have felt the same way I do now.

Every single kid is so special and I've grown such a deep attachment to them all. In fact, if you wanted me to list out the names of all the children and one thing that I remember. I could easily do it. Now I know you think that means around 20 something names but actually it's not. The kindergarten operates on a sessional system in that there are groups which come on different days at different times. Today was the last time I would see Yellow and Red group and when they were all saying goodbye I was seriously just going to bawl my eyes out. Today was the first time I met Red group because they usually come on Mondays and Thursdays but Monday was the Queen's birthday which means I only met them today. Two kids from the red group (I had played with for 3 hours only) came up to me and gave me a hug goodbye when they were leaving. :') A little Asian boy from Yellow group gave me a drawing he did. Another little boy gave me the treasure (a rock) he found in the sandpit. I was so overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness, I mean what teenager goes up to a teacher/student teacher and hugs them goodbye? I JUST LOVE KIDS SO MUCH. I LOVE THEM ALL. THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT.

So there are a couple of behavioural disorders in the kids at the Kindergarten and it was really awesome to learn how to calm them down and keep them comfortable and be able to make them smile and laugh. I read SEVEN different books to a little boy today, he was almost going to make me read eight but I said that he needed to eat his banana first because I was almost out of breath. He was such a smart boy. There were a couple kids that followed me around and I almost cried when they would call me by my name. There were a couple kids who wanted to sit on/next to me during mat time. There was a kid who asked me if I was replacing a teacher who they had next week and I was so flattered because if they considered me professional enough to be an actual teacher I must have been doing something right.

I also met the teachers of the Kindergarten and they're all really lovely and kind and got along with children so well. The substitute teacher I met on Tuesday was so chill with everything, she even swore in front of me and didn't find it weird which means she regarded me on a sort of equal level. The whole boss of the place is such a professional woman, she really loves what she does, she puts so much effort and hard work into everything she does and is always trying to find ways to improve. She's seriously just an amazing teacher. Another woman had the best decorating skills in the world. She made this little jungle like sand pit thing and when I asked if she had ever considered interior design as a career option, she laughed at me. Another woman was really just lovely, she always played with the kids and didn't act too adulty. She'd play soccer with them and she'd run around and take photos. It was just really nice. There was also a woman who came from an agency who I met yesterday and she just got along really well with the kids and she was really welcoming and lovely. I also met a guy today who would usually work on Mondays and Thursdays and he was really nice and he was such a good role model for the kids.

So now I think I'm going to work on a thank you letter/poem to all the kids and the teachers and I'll probably have to wake up early and get them some presents or something.

In summary, I LOVE WORK EXPERIENCE SO FAR.

I might blog some more later to make up for lost time. Love you sweethearts! :) ♥

I love kids.

Aloha beautiful people!
So, I really want to blog a whole lot about work experience but both the computers are occupied and I'm typing this on my phone which auto corrects EVERYTHING. Which is not something I'm used to therefore making this sort of hard to type for me.

But anyway, I'd just like to tell you all that my first day of work experience was extremely hectic but fantastic at the same time. I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. :) I'll blog more about it later if I can but for now, toodaloo! :)

Brilliance.

HI AGAIN DEARIES!

I just watched Anastasia and I'm so glad I did. It was 93.50 minutes of brilliant, fantastic, terrific, amazing, marvellous, awe-inspiring goodness. The male lead is a lot like Flynn Rider from Tangled which we all love (Zachary Levi is too cute) and the voice is John Cusack which was a huge surprise to me. And Anastasia's voice is Meg Ryan, I didn't even know she could sing but she sure can! The movie was really funny and non-typical Disney princess-y movie. Well, sort of was, and the weird thing was the movie isn't made by Disney, it's made by Fox Animations. Anastasia looks a bit like Ariel but I think Anastasia a bit more badass, and I love her. She's got this feisty, sarcastic and witty personality which is fudging awesome. I love Dimitri's (the male lead) character too, he was so non-prince charming but prince charming. Very Flynn Rider. In other words: You're gonna fall a little in love with this fictional character. :D And you know how there's usually an evil stepmother or something, this time around, she's a grandma and she's beautiful and I love her because she's so lovely. I seriously just love everything about his movie. I'd give it a rating of perfection. Yup, not even going to use numbers because the movie was that special. Seriously, you really have to watch it and then after that you can thank me. :)  I even gave you the link so you have no excuse now! SO GO!!! What are you waiting for? Go watch ittttt!! Watch Anastasia (full movie) (really good quality too)

Another thing I did today was read the most mind-blowing fanfic I've ever read. Natasha introduced me to this story so all the credit goes to her. (LOVE YOU BEB) But holy mother of goodness, that fanfic was probably the best fanfic I've ever read. It was like a crossover between Glee and Inception, the Gleeception. No, really it isn't as lame as it sounds. You don't even have to like Glee to read it. The storyline was amazing and so well planned, the characters were so well written and were definitely realistic because I could actually see Finn and Rachel doing what was written, and not even one punctuation, spelling or grammar mistake. What more could I want? And it's only 4 chapters of brilliance so go read it, I'll even give you the link here too :) http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6867710/1/Cinderella_in_a_Party_Dress NOW READ READ READ READ!!!

So basically the point of this post was to make you watch Anastasia and read fanfiction! GOOOOO!!!

Okay, love you, bye! :D

MAARY.

I bawled.

Life is pretty amazing right now.

SALUTATIONS MY DEAR PUMPKINS!!!

I'M IN A REALLY REALLY REALLY HAPPY MOOD BECAUSE EXAMS ARE OVER WHICH MEANS HELL IS OVER WHICH MEANS NO HOMEWORK WHICH MEANS ALL MY TV SHOWS AND I CAN FINALLY READ WATTPAD AGAIN AND I CAN TWEET AND FACEBOOK AND ALL THAT LOVELY JAZZ. In other words: FUDGESTICLESTICKSYEAH

Finally got my Media exam done and so I'm done with school for the day. SCORE. And now I can have the time of my life doing absolutely any fracking thing I want. WOOOOPPP WOOOPP!

I'm so excited for Work Experience, going to play with widdle adorable kids for a whole week. LIVIN' IT UP, MAN. LIVIN' IT UP. I'm so excited for everything because this week is basically paradise. Okay, I'm going to go now and just be the crazy, insane kid I've been holding back the entire week because I had to be serious for exams.

Oh and more good news, I learnt how to "When Will My Life Begin" from Tangled on guitar yesterday! :D Even with my pencil and rubber band as a capo. Yeah, I really need to go out and buy one. And my phone cases finally came after a month!!! WOOP WOOOP, it's so pretty and orange and I'm so happppyyy!

Before the spastic girl leaves, she'd just like to wish her friends Anna and Michelle all the best because they're doing a test to get a scholarship to a selective school today and though she wants them to do really well, she's a selfish bum who doesn't want them to leave because then....oceans.

OKAY, LOVE YOU! SEE YOU SOON! :)

Song of the day:
-When You Believe from the Prince of Egypt
Somebody Else - Se7en

Quote of the day:
"I thought Michelle was wrong when she said you're an embarrassment but I was wrong." -Cindy

P.S. The 'you' in 'you're' being me. :) I'm sort of proud of the fact that I'm an embarrassment because if people actually stick around, they actually accept me being one. And I think that's a nice feeling. :)

Goodnight, well morning as of this very minute! Sweet dreams my gorgeous munchkins! :)

MAARY.

BATS

I apologise for the really bad quality.

Ditto. WHO CARES, THEY'RE BATS. IN DAYLIGHT.
HANGING FROM  POWERLINES.  THE ONLY THING THAT
COULD MAKE THIS MORE EXCITING IS IF ROBIN WAS
HANGING NEXT TO THE BAT.

Wagging

HELLOOO AGAIN!
It's been 2 minutes and I already had to blog again. See how much you lovely people mean to me? So big announcement today, VERY VERY BIG, I warn you it may come as a surprise to you all that.............I WAGGED SCHOOL TODAY. YUP. ME, MARY, GOODY-TWO SHOES MARY WAGGED SCHOOL TODAY.
...................................................

None of you believed that for a second did you? Well, yeah, you're right. I didn't wag today I was given permission to leave until my exam in periods 5 and 6. :D So I went to the city with Cindy to get her a new jacket which was kinda fun. Got some exercise too. :) But then I stuffed up that benefit when we went to eat KFC. Welp. I then met Michelle and Kimbo at the Children's hospital since it's all new and pretty and stuff. :) I really wanted to see the meerkats and the sharks and all that wonderful stuff but we didn't have enough time after eating. What I did do was write on a stick though.

Okay, yup, writing on a stick, pretty average thing to do, ya know? Well, the hospital was having a tribute for an endangered native bird which represents the indigenous community. What they did was construct this nest like shape structure out of sticks that the people could write messages for to support this cause. So the bird's name was Bunjil and because my friends were rushing me, the first thing I could think of was "Save Bunjil, Save the Indigenous (smiley face) (heart)" I KNOW, HOW ORIGINAL. Man, I should've taken a photo of it because the next was really pretty. :D

I also met this little girl when I was eating in the food court and she was sooo adorableeeeeeee! I said hi to her and waved, and then she said hi back and when she waved, only half her fingers were above the table. And then I asked her if her food was good with a thumbs up (because I'm amazing at sign language) and she nodded and smiled at me. Her mum/sister was really nice too! :D Those people made my day. :3

Then even more exciting things happened! While we were walking back to school, we saw a bat hanging from the powerlines and I took a couple of photos which I'll post up later from me phone. Okay, so I think I had a pretty nice day today! :D And tune in tomorrow for more boring, useless things it is mandatory for you to know about Mary.

Bye! Love you all so very much! Look forward to really really badly taken photographs of a bat soon. :D

MAARY.

Almost there! :)

GREEETING MY BEAUTIFUL PUMPKINS!
So, I actually have the time to blog today because my last exam is tomorrow and it's for Media which unfortunately, I don't care about too much. It's fun and all and I've studied a bit and I'll study a bit more later but right now, I just need a break from ya know, hell. Okay, it actually wasn't that bad. I'm actually surprised to be saying this right now but I don't think I've drastically failed any of my exams so far. :D Which is a good sign I guess. But I won't know for sure until I get my marks back.

So, I really don't think you guys care too much about how I performed during my exams but I'll tell you anyway because I'm just that lovely. (Ahem, cough, ahem, no). Well, my first exams were English and Health on Tuesday and I must say I'm quite proud of the fact that I finished my Animal Farm essay and my Language Analysis on time. :) Even if it was complete and utter bullpoop. I seriously had no idea what I was writing but oh well. It's over now. :D And I'd just like to take this time to thank Tashieeeee (Yes, I remembered the 5 'e's) for going to the library with me on Monday to study our butt off and the practice essays we did actually helped us in the actual exam. WOO! So if there's anything I'm thankful for, it's them essays with the illegible handwriting. (You can see a picture on Tash's blog http://onlythemediocre.blogspot.com.au/ (A BIT OF PROMOTION FOR YOU THERE) (Wait, actually it's not because you're probably the only person that reads this) :')

On Wednesday was Maths and Economics. I was actually pretty decent with my Maths exam despite the fact it was an advanced subject. Either that was the best I've ever performed for this subject this year or I've made A WHOLE TRUCKLOAD OF MISTAKES, but ya know what? IT'S MOTHERTRUCKIN' OVA. And I basically bullpooped my way through the Economics exam. Maybe that exam is the one I'm going to drastically fail.

Today was Science and Art 3D, Science wasn't too bad but I know I've lost a lot of marks due to my carelessness. --" And Art 3D was pretty alright too, I finished it an hour early so the supervisor let us leave. :) Wooo! :D

I'm going to blog about non-exam related things that happened today on another post now. Good bye for now dearies, but not forever! :D

Gasp!

No Saturday post?! You know why because I wad actually studying instead if watching all my awesome as heck tv shows after coming home from my mum's friends house.

It was pretty fun actually. I met this oldish man there and he was a really good singer 'wit duh karaoke.' No really, he wad really good. He seven dedicated a song to me which wad really sweet. :') after that, he sang a song about unfaithful men from a lady's point of view because he felt sorry for the females that we're being criticised in the other songs the other men were singing. The song wad funny as heck and I'd show it to you but its in Vietnamese and you won't get it. LOLOLO

Okay, im going to go to sleep now so I can study more tomorrow! GOODNIGHT MUNCHKINS!!!

First proper blog post of the week

Greeting my fellow companions! (hahhahaha, cough cough, as if she has friends) How are we all today? I hope you are all swell because I am not. I am anything but swell at the moment, my head wants to bang itself against a wall because I cannot take all this studying anymore. :( But oh well, life is life and in times like this, it sucks cheeseballs.

If you're wondering why having a picture of a packaged "Cupp Keyk" is a hint to the rest of my day. It's because that little cupp keyk package made my day. It's actually a yam flavoured filopino cupcake that is prounouced 'ooh-beh' according to my sources (Natasha, you better be right about this). And my goodness, that shit was good. I know yam flavoured, who would've thought that would be the solution to all my *emotional dietary needs.

Anywho, today I finally did my English oral in which I'm pretty sure I stumbled on half the words I was saying. And I swear it was probably the most cliche piece of literature that I have ever written. Seriously, man, it was bad. Half of it sounded like I was confessing my love to the animals on Animal Farm and the other half made me sound like some crazy idealist kid (in other words, me) but I'm supposed to be Mr. Jones!

Then I had to do my Science test....DUN DUN DUN DUN.I FAILED THAT THING 5 TIMES OVER. I swear to all the gods and goddesses and divine spirits and all that wonderful jazz that I did not understand jackshiteballs on that test. I swear, for half the questions, i was tempted to go look for their definitions in the dictionary. :'( My goodness, I wanted to cry during that entire test because it was so damn hard. :((( But you know what? If/When I get my marks back and they are horrendous, I will study my butt off to get a decent grade for my exam. (Yeah, sure)

Well, I got home from school and just crashed on my bed until 10 o' clock, so in truth, I've only been awake for an hour and a half which means more studying time for me. (UM HELL NO) I DON'T WANT TO STUDYYYY, I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE. I'm going to live in a cardboard box, no wait, that's a bit of a stretch with the way I'm going, I'm going to live in newspaper fort when I grow up and just yeah. Alright, a little bit off track now.

I'm gonna go to sleep now because I need my energy for doomsday number 798367493475783465.

LOVE YOU ALL! GOOD LUCK ON WHATEVER YOU NEED LUCK ON! ESPECIALLY TO YOU TASH AND KIM, STUDY HARD MY LOVES! :D

I love Fridays

So, I'm in my break mode instead of my study mode so I'm watching 'My Wife and Kids.' My goodness, it's such a good show and none of the jokes are really rude or wrong or dirty like the ones you see these days on those typical tv shows you see on nowadays. Okay, going to enjoy the rest of my night watching old episodes of this fantastical show. CYA!

MAARY.

A hint to how my day went. Post more later loves!
