Fudgeywudgeycrudgey shiteballs.

Hi dearies!
This is only going to be a really really quick post because I have a Genetics test to study for and an english oral to finally do after all that procrastinating and I just needed to get some feelings out. You know what? Back to work for me right now actually. I really need to get some work done.

When I said beautiful, I meant 'poorly taken.'
Oh well, it brightens up my night anyway. :D

Meanwhile, enjoy this beautiful photo

This is really just quite meaningless.

A goodnight post to you all! And song of the day is...well more, playlists of the day is 'Dashboard Confessional' and the Anastasia soundtrack and 'I'll Make A Man Out of You' (Mulan) because my school screened it today for History week. Yup, we're really just that cool. :D

Anywaysiesss, GOODNIGHT, SLEEP TIGHT AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT RHYMES WITH THAT BEAUTIFUL JAZZ.

MAARY.

Musical talent. Yeah, no.

Soo, hello! I should be doing my homework now or showering or eating or something other than blogging but I felt that it was necessary to tell you about my musical talent. Or rather slight musical ability. Yeah, that sounds better. :) I figured out Payphone and Here's to Us and Untitled on piano yesterday all by ear and I'm quite happy about it and will proceed to play it during my break instead of practicing my piano exam songs. keke

More good news to come though! I did well for my Media task which was to play the role of a Floor Manager of a fake newcast. It was pretty fun even if I felt weird bossing people around because ya know, I'm nice... :D And I finished my clay wall tile for 3D Art! YAYAYYAYA. And that's all for today. See you soon, I'm Mary and this is my fantastic insane blog. :D LOVEYA!

Addict

My lord, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from Facebook and Twitter already. :( I actually feel the NEED to go on and post about the stuff that makes life go by for me. I did not know it was this bad, maybe I should limit my time on them more often, so I don't go beserk at times like this. Alright, serious now, POWER NAP TIME.

MAARY.

Not functioning properly.

Hello to you, dear reader! How was your day? Mine was a little bit draining because I didn't get a lot of sleep last night because I was wattpadd-ing so I guess that's my fault anyway. My lord, I'm so tired, all I've done since 4-ish is do some maths and revise some science. That's it. And I already need a power nap. :( I'm trying not to feel stressed about these daunting exams but it's really hard not to. Okay, power nap for one hour and then back to maths. :(((

SEE YOU TOMORROW OR TONIGHT OR WHENEVER! :D ♥

YEWCHOOB

Okay, so remember how I told you how I've been listening to a different artist's Youtube playlist everyday? Here's a couple that I've completely fallen in love with. Maybe not love, more like fallen in an complete and utter obsession with.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XrO9gjsSmY&feature=autoplay&list=PL3064FEED570303D8&playnext=9 -SafetySuit playlist -they're really really really good, I promise :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s16tXhDZ6TE&feature=autoplay&list=PLD1908A23B27AD21F&playnext=6 -'A Rocket to the Moon' - they're a bit Owl City-esque with a bit of Coldplay sort of emo pop band - in other words : FUDGESTICLESTICKSYEAH

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC33B613DA43EDBB0&feature=plpp - I don't know who doesn't like Disney songs, but if you don't, you seriously need to go counselling. THIS IS AN AMZING PLAYLIST! I've been listening to it for about 4 days now while doing homework and every time I do homework now, a Disney song pops up in my head. IT'S BLOODY FANTASTIC. Beware of sudden waterworks though because that's what happened to me.

http://www.youtube.com/user/MaxSchneider1 - so this isn't a playlist but it's an artist/actor/singer and his name is Max Schneider and he is oh so freaking cute. And talented of course. But extremely cute. No one has ever said "What's up baby" and made me flail and die inside before.

AND HERE WE GO, THE VOICE UK!!!!
Just search in youtube these names because I promise you'll become the biggest fans of these amazing people in seconds.
-Max Milner
-Bill Downs
-Vince Kidd
-ALEKS JOSH (you have to watch his The Voice UK audition, it's seriously just too adorable for words)
-Ruth Brown
-Bo Bruce

You won't regret it, I promise! :D ♥ LOVE YOU! Tell me if you like any of these! So you can fangirl/boy and flail and cry (the good kind) with me! :D

Breaking Open the Heart of Mercy

SO TO START THIS OFF, A HUGE, GINORMOUS, EXTRAVAGANTLY HYPOTHETICALLY VISUALISED BUT SORT OF VIRTUAL HUG TO YOU. (For again, not keeping my promise and posting straight afterwards. Well, I don't really have any excuse besides the fact that my brother and I were watching Victorious at the time when I wanted to blog. When I did post, it was when my brother was on the phone. So anywho, SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDSSSS.

Well, maybe not yet. So picture this, a girl home alone, her brother is out at a party (because the kid's finally got a social life now) (I say kid, but he's 19), her parents are out dancing a storm (I swear to God, their Saturday nights are so eventful) and the girl who has been told to watch over this chicken broth on the stove until it's 2am. If you haven't figured it out yet, that's what's happening right at this very moment. Alritey, time to talk about the SEEDS OF JUSTICE CONFERENCE and how fabulously, awesomely, terrifically, fantastically, brilliantly awesome it was.

So before I tell you what we did on the SJC, I'll tell you a bit of what's it about. Twice every year, this committee runs a 2 day program for Mercy Schools in Victoria and we come together to share our ideas about social justice and mercy and learn about other people's experiences, listen to guest speakers and for the one I went to go to placements in the local community. The theme this year was "Breaking Open the Heart of Mercy" (So that's what the title meant)

It was a pretty quick ride to the centre they were hosting the conference at, I won't state details unless you really want to know and because the main teacher who was supposed to go with us got sick, our very awkward but still wonderful Irish teacher drove us there. He was making comments like "Oh, just found the brake." The first thing he said to us when we got in the car was "I could be taking you girls to your death and you wouldn't even know." Yes, that was very comforting. Oh and he talked about the Gaelic/Irish language almost the whole way. He's lovely though, to be honest, that trip was one of the funniest car rides I've ever had. On the way, we saw these houses that looked like they were from a Dr. Seuss movie or the neighbourhood in 'Edward Scissorhands.' Actually, houses is a bit of an understatement, more like mansions.

When we got there, we all introduced ourselves and had to sit down and listen to our first guest speaker Sr Giovanna, she's a Sister of Mercy and her job is basically visit and talk to prisoners so they don't feel so isolated. I know what you're thinking, why would she do that? They're prisoners, they don't deserve that sort of compassion. And a quote I got from the video we watched after her talk was something that went like Being in prison is the punishment and if you want to take away their privileges then do so, but you are not helping them. Most likely, they will just end up back in prison when they're released because they haven't learnt anything. Prisons are a place of rehabilitation which is why people keep coming back. If a Sister can help a prisoner and offer their companionship then why not? She talked about this man who had a mental illness in which he had the mental capacity of a five year old and all he did was want to make friends every time he got released from prison and he would be arrested for being a 'public disturbance' or he breached a restraining order. So, at this point, I was crying and a poor girl had to walk out of the room. Thankfully, she told us that when his case got brought to court, the judge found him proper and stable accommodation so he's okay now. :')

After lunch, we were supposed to have another guest speaker but she decided not to come. :| Instead they made us watch this video called "Music and Murder." It was a documentary about 3 men who are all murderers and have a passion for music. And my goodness, it was confronting and challenged everything I ever knew. So there were these three men and they're all very troubled and are imprisoned for murder and they're musically talented. I won't go into detail about why they're in there but I'm pretty sure you could find the video somewhere on the webbynet. But anywho, the first guy and the last guy who were introduced felt deep remorse for their sins, and though they had taken a life, it made us believe that they deserved a second chance. The first guy, I think his name was Vernon or something rather, and now he performs with his guitar in church congregations which I thought was lovely and the last guy was on parole in 2008 but I'm not sure how that turned out. The second guy though, oh man, he challenged all my morals and beliefs so badly. He also was imprisoned for murder of his girlfriend and he was also very musically talented, in fact, the most musically talented. He was going to be released in two months so they gave him a job outside the prison walls as a gardener but he escaped. YES I KNOW. I DON'T UNDERSTAND A PSYCHOPATH'S BRAIN EITHER. IT GET'S WORSE. Not only does he escape but he commits almost the same crime again. He kills another woman the same way he killed his girlfriend. NO COMPRENDO. NO FUDGING COMPRENDO. So now he's going to die in jail. I guess you're thinking, "Serves him right" right? But when you think about it, if he was in another video that presented two other guys that murdered 3 or 4 times, you would feel more empathy towards him, would you not? So it's all about contrast and the media and everything but at the same time all my morals are challenged. Should I feel sympathy for a murderer that's killed twice? Thrice? Four times? Here we are talking about how we should feel empathy and sympathy for the prisoners because they're completely isolated and many underprivileged. But what about the ones who are psychopaths? The ones who will take a life like it doesn't mean anything? Are the priests and nuns supposed to feel empathy and try to strike up a conversation with them? Do they deserve it? And I have no idea how to answer any of these questions. I'm glad that the conference didn't just present one side of the story though. I appreciated the fact that they contradicted they things we watched and instead of preaching to us about some sort of utopia, they let us think for ourselves.

Okay, so we ate lunch after that. And my Lord, it was heavenly. Or as a girl from my school put it "Scrumdiddiumptious." It was this magical lasagne with your ordinary vegies, and the best birthday cake ever even though it wasn't anyone's birthday! LOL After eating lunch, it was time to talk placements.

There were about eight different placements I think and they consisted of places like soup vans, nursing homes, women shelters, ministries, charities...you get the picture. So one of the girls from my school went to a soup van. (I'm not stating who or where for security and privacy reasons) Umm, two other girls went to do their placement at a nursing home and I went to do at an Aboriginal Ministry. The bus took forever to get anywhere and didn't know any shortcuts so everyone's placement times got cut short and people were late. I don't think the bus driver knew what he was doing but oh well, he tried. When I got to the centre where I was supposed to be doing my placement, it was closed because they had waited for us over 45 minutes. :'( I was devastates because it was a really rare experience and I was looking forward to learn from the Aboriginal community and be told stories and all that beautiful jazz but sadly, no. :( A couple blocks down from the road though was an Aboriginal mural which is decaying and they need money to restore that so I think that might be one of school's social justice team's ideas soon! :D WOOPWOOP! And we tried interpreting that in out own weird way which was was probably extremely inaccurate but at least we tried. Oh I was with a teacher from another school and two other girls from a different school as well and they were all lovely. In fact, everyone at that conference was just so unbelievably lovely and friendly. So after intepreting the mural, we all went to sit in KFC and I ate my packed sandwhich while hiding behind these bamboo room divider things so the KFC staff wouldn't realise. HAHAHAH I just realised how stupid that sounded now. So after a while, we got picked up and every one was talking to each other on the ride back and I found out that I might see a lot of the students that came at Frayne (A speech festival held in August for Mercy school to participate in Voice Choir, Debating and Public Speaking)! WOOOPPPPP!

We got back to the centre and we had a nice little reflection and meditation about our placements and they played some nice calming music before we went to sleep. We got to our rooms and brushed our teeth and all that jazz my friend (who I was sharing the room with) and I were knocked out by around 11:30 which is weird because usually on camp, I stay up till around 2am or something but I think we were all just so tired.

DIA NUMERO DOS DE SEEDS OF JUSTICE BEBS.
Woke up. Obviously. We sang a nice Catherine McAuley song (which we are definitely singing for Choir because it is brilliant) and ate breakfast. The prayer that was said was only a couple of lines and it was "Be still and know that I am God." and the man kept saying this over and over each time dropping a couple words off so we could think of our interpretations and visualise different things with lesser words. It was quite nice and calming actually. (Seriously, I'm not even Catholic). We then listened to a teacher talk about how he took a couple students from his school to Papua New Guinea to offer "kindness, compassion and gentle words" to the people there which was really inspirational and definitely makes me want to do that kind of work one day. But I'm pretty sure that by the time it'll be organised that my high school years would have ended. :(((

We ate lunch and then played some games together. It was like a massive game of rock, paper, scissors and right now, I'm actually too lazy to explain it but if you ask nicely (okay, you could ask roughly too and I'll still answer you) I'll explain it. We then had a nice reflection and wrote down the ideas we would try to implement at our own schools and we came up with a lot of ideas so social justice girls, you better be ready for them! :D AND WE GOT BADGES!!! YEAAAHHHAHAHHAHAHHAHA!!

And then the car trip home was nice and normal and our teacher knew how to drive the car and didn't make as 'comforting' comments. HAHAHAHhahaha, no really he's actually really lovely. :D

I got back to school and decided to join the Literature class because I don't have a chance to do it this year because it clashes with my advanced Math class. :'( So I decided to join their class and oh my god, it was sooo good. Some of the girls there were practically falling asleep and obviously treated the class as a bludge subject but seriously, in that moment, I loved it. Especially because they were reading "Medea and other Plays" by Euripedes and I had just finished reading the Percy Jackson book that introduced Jason and Medea and I was so excited because I could piece the information I knew from the book together and it was just amazing. I swear, I feel so bad for Tash because if I was feeling like that because I enjoy Greek Mythology, she's absolutely insane with it and would probably give up her life in Australia to go learn Greek Mythology in the Philippines because as she's informed me many many times, they teach it there as a subject. The only reason she can't do Literature is because it clashes with her advanced Bio class (that nerdy bum). :((( Anywho, I'm going to leave you now, because this is a really really long post and 30% are probably typos. Bye, love you all but I'm going to be disabling all my social networking accounts by Sunday night so I can study for my exams which are next next week. I'll see you tomorrow then for my last blog post before the two week hiatus. :) LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOU!

GOOD (NIGHT/MORNING/AFTERNOON/EVENING/DAWN/SUNRISE/SUNSET) TO YOU MY DEAREST DEARY PIE!

DESERTED

Aloha lovely people!
I'm so sorry for deserting you all for almost two weeks. I wish I could make it up somehow but I just haven't figured that out just yet! I've been so busy and stressed with homework and all the glitz and glamour horrible stuff that comes with it. But I'm back and I almost went in to cardiac arrest (no, not really) when I saw that this blog got 1090 page views. Sorry, what? What the heck? I'm so shocked I don't even know what to do. The last time I was on this thing  I had around 100, so I'm not sure what's been going on but umm, thanks to anyone that actually reads the stuff I actually post. It means so much, LOVE YOU TASH AND KIM! FOREVER MORE. Anywho, so now my apology to you (which I hope has been accepted) and my gratitude to you has been expressed I'm going to blog about the Seeds of Justice Conference I came back from today. :D

Our Symphonic Life

Okay, here's the video. :) And that's all because I have to get a move on for this Economics Oral/Powerpoint as well as memorise a spanish assessment when I haven't even sat in a Spanish class for a year. And here it is :) OH MY GOODNESS, WHY WON'T YOU WORK?! I'm sorry guys, I really don't know why it's not working but I'll try again tomorrow or later. See you then! SAYONARA!

Promises, promises

Hai there, so I was going to upload a video of this amazing band that was busking in the city but my phone won't cooperate. I've got a maths test tomorrow which means I have to sleep especially early, so I'll upload the video then when my phone is being less temperamental and when the computers aren't occupied. Okay, love you, bye!

Ya-ua

Okay, so you may be wondering why the title of this post is foreign gibberish. Well, it's how you pronounce yogurt in Vietnamese. :) YES, IT'S HAPPENING, I'm actually sticking to my promise and teaching you guys how to make this awesome (slightly unhealthy) yogurt despite the fact I still need to do two more revision sheets in preparation for my Math test on Wednesday. But hey, I've been doing Maths all day and had to commemorate my uncle's death anniversary. So 'Cau Binh', if you're reading this somewhere up there, I hope you're as happy and carefree as the last time I met you when I was about 5. :) Okay, sob story over. YOGHURT TIME.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of condensed milk (Nestle will do fine)
  • 1 or 2 can loads of milk (shit, I can't remember this, I will confirm with my mum tomorrow, since she's asleep).
  • 2 can loads of boiling water
  • 1 cup of ready made ya-ua, you can buy at Asian grocery stores.
Method:
  1. Pour the can of condensed milk into a LARGE bowl.
  2. Pour in the 2 can loads of boiling water. Mix until condensed milk has dissolved.
  3. Pour in the 1 or 2 can loads of milk. Mix thoroughly again.
  4. Pour in the ready made ya-ua/Viet yogurt. Yes, mix again.
  5. Use a ladle to ladle ladlefuls of yoghurt into plastic cups (about 7 or 8 should be enough) (Make sure these cups have lids).
So it should look something similar to this, at this step. :)

  1. Put all the cups with the hot yogurt into a huge ass pot. Like really big.
  2. Depending on the size of the pot and the height of the cups, make sure the water is like 3/4 boiling water and 1/4 cold water. E.g. If you measured that your pot needed to be filled up to 1L, then poor 750mls of boiling water and then 250mls of cold water. By the way, make sure the water in the pot doesn't reach up to the actual yogurt cup.
  3. Put the pot into the pantry and cover it with like fleecy blankets or wooly material and leave it there for about a night.
  4. In the morning, put the yoghurt cups in the fridge and they should be ready to eat. :)
ALRITEY DEARIES, BACK TO HOMEWORK NOW! LOVE YOU! :)

MAARY.

P.S. If you have any other questions regarding this seriously horribly written recipe then feel free to comment 'cause I'm feeling lonely. :( OKAY BYE! GOODNIGHT! :)

BUENOS DIAS!

HI THERE! Really really quick post because it's 12.38am where I live and I need to get my ass to school in 8 hours or so. SO HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO DAY if you celebrate it. I don't but maybe one day I will. :) Okay, so to make up for lack of posts today/yesterday, I will teach you how to make my mum's very special yogurt which requires no cooking and only 4 ingredients, with the 4th being water. :D I apologise again for not blogging properly and I'll try my  best to tomorrow. Oh and here's a picture of my dog after I washed him and sat with him in the sun for about half an hour so he could dry off. :D

"What's that flashy thing?"

BYE! GOOD MORNING/NIGHT! LOVE YOU ALL! :)

It's finally here.

BO D
ÍA! That's 'good morning' in Gaelican. :) Thought I'd be a little creative today thanks to the beloved Google Translate. :) And, though the sky outside in pitch black, it's morning right now where I live because it's 1:09am. Yeah, yeah I know, I shouldn't sleep late because it's bad for my health and all that jazz but hey, I've had a busy day and I deserve this break. :) So before, you tell me that my day can't be busy because I'm only 15 and that is nothing, I'd like to ask if you have to go tutor, Vietnamese school and piano lessons all in one day between the hours of 9:30 and 7:00.   So, yes, I do deserve this break. :D

ALRIGHTY, time to get to the good stuff. :) Last time I asked you guys "What would you do if you were God?" and no one answered me :( but that's okay because I was going to do my whole passionate idealist speech anyway. Okay, so if you actually did have a think, I'm just going to take a wild guess and say you would end world hunger, rid the entire world of poverty and all that beautiful jazz. I don't know if you realise this, but as non-divine nor supernatural homosapiens, we can actually take steps to accomplish these things. For example, we'll be a step closer to no poverty if we donate to charities, sponsor a child from World Vision, give some money to the poor guy who sleeps on the park bench etc. So basically, the point of this was to make you guys realise that we don't have to be God to do things we would do if we were God (if you didn't already know. If you did, I'm sorry for wasting your time, and I promise to blog about more interesting things, one day). I realised this when I got home from Reflection Day at my school on Wednesday and I was supposed to blog then but I was busy doing my Health assignment as you probably already know. I then proceeded to argue about this with my brother because he was being pessimistic because he was sitting in the supposed 'pessimistic chair.' Yep, and according to mi hermano, I was sitting in the 'optimistic chair.' Wonderful.

Well, my loves, it's time for me to go and hide in bed and watch my Korean drama called 'Man of Honour' on my phone. :) KEKEKEKKE. I love life. And if you're looking for other Korean dramas to watch, I definitely recommend 'Can You Hear My Heart' because it's the cutest, sweetest, loveliest Korean drama I've watched. Ever. :D

Atā! That's 'Bye' in Latvian. :D And remember, kocham cię! (You can look up that one for yourself! :)

I wish...

Buenas tardes chicos! (Or maybe chicas considering Natasha might be the only one reading this. How are you this exquisite afternoon? :)

Okay, so I know I said I wasn't ready to let go of my pandas just yet only yesterday and now you think I'm pathetic, a liar, full of broken promises and all that nasty stuff. I know this probably sounds like a lie but I swear to the Dutch Tulip Man* that it isn't. What recall happened was that I was playing around with a couple templates when I accidentally clicked save and couldn't get back to my old template and I was upset because the one I accidentally saved didn't look too nice. Instead of leaving my blog at the unsatisfactory level that it was at, I decided to just make up some random one. I chose the colourful jellybeans since I was still grieving over me pandas and needed to cheer myself up. :)

I promise I will write about my reflection day two days ago and the philosophical questions it sparked but my piano lesson, tutor and Vietnamese school is tomorrow and I've been making them my last priority this entire week. Alrightey, I'll write more soon! And that's a promise I won't break! :)

Adios (with the accent on the I)!

MAARY.

*The Dutch Tulip Man is in reference to an amazing book called 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green. And that's it, if you want to find out more, you have to read it because it is just the best book ever.

Here's to summer!

A photo I took at a Rose Maze when I went camping with a friend. The colours remind me of summer so I hope it cheers you up this chilly day! :)

Can't let go.

Salutations! How are we all this fine but freezing afternoon? I've got an iceberg (keeping with the cold theme) of homework to do and quite frankly, I need to get my crap together and do better in school.
Anywho, I've been meaning to change the theme of this blog because I've checked out the new templates and they look wonderful but I can't let go of my pandas just yet. They're like a part of me, and they make me happy. :) And I feel like a carefree kid again! Anywho, time to revise quadratic functions and equations. ARGHH.

Love you all!

MAARY.

P.S. To keep warm on these wintry days, tuck the ends of your pants into your socks so the wind can't reach your skin. Just another day on Keeping Warm 101. :)

MOT TRAM LE HAI

HOLY WHAT? I PASSED THE CENTURY MARK!!!! And I'm proud to say that my 100th blog post was forcefully encouraging the world to watch Max Milner and Bill Downs do what they're amazing at. :D Okay, on to doing the rest of my health assignment! :)

P.S I'm kidding about the profound part. LOL ♥

Sorry, couldn't resist!

So, I just needed to show everyone this and then you can thank me after.

My friends are completely obsessed with the people on The Voice Australia, but personally I prefer The Voice UK, especially this. IT'S JUST SO PERFECT. MAX MILNER AND BILL DOWNS. ♥

Quick post!

HI EVERYONE! Trying my best to blog frequently-ish. TWICE IN A DAY! :OOOOO I know, I'm impressed too. :D

Okay, so what I've been doing these past few days is to find a random artist, search a YouTube playlist containing their songs and just listen to that for the rest of that day. I just think that it's a fun thing to do and thought I'd share it with you. :) I've done this with Every Avenue, Never Shout Never, Switchfoot, The Script, We The Kings, Ed Sheeran, Foster the People and Busted so far. I wonder what tomorrow will lead me to... :)
Okay, lovelies, I've got to go and do the rest of my Health assignment I should've handed in a couple days ago so see you soon!

I'm going to blog about my reflection day I had at school today so I will leave you with a thought provoking question "If you were God, what would you do?" Okay, time for me to go now!

By the way, to the person reading this, thanks! :)

AWWWW

Hello there lovelies! I was listening to this song and this bit really stood out to me, so I decided to share it with you guys. :) It's from the song 'On the Brightside' by 'Never Shout Never', they're really quite a wonderful band and I love the message delivered in this song. :)

"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be
And you're only as small as the world will make you seem
When the going gets rough and you feel like you may fall
Just look on the brightside

You can find the rest of it on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zm6i-C0p1Y&feature=autoplay&list=PLC0518E92A529B79C&playnext=1 and then check out the rest of the playlist too! Okay, I've got to continue doing my Maths homework now. See you another day! :) (Hopefully soon)!

And remember, YOU'RE BRILLIANT BECAUSE YOU'RE YOU. Just sayin' :D
